Exceptionally light gearchange. The 3-cylinder petrol engine, while sounding a little unusual at idle, soon reveals itself to be a lot of fun. Sounds exactly like a 6 cylinder, due to the firing angles, and tempts the driver to drive right up to 5krpm in every gear. Something which is fortunately effective, since the engine happily piles on the speed while working up through the revs. The 4 cylinder versions probably have more oomph, but the 3-cylinder's sound is hard to beat.
