August 2001

Monday 6th August, 2001

Well, I've finished the EMBL Staff Association website now, and am stuck again with nothing to do. I went up this weekend to visit Richard in Paderborn, where he's working. Other than that, well, nothing much more to report for this month. Ho-hum.

Today, a diary entry from futuristic camping. I am typing this lying in a sleeping bag, in my tent (having just finished watching a DVD of Air Force One). Kevin and I are spending the weekend in Schotten, so he can race his shiny new (old) motorbike on Sunday. The only thing missing from this high-tech tent is a network connection, but I'm sure that'll come eventually...

Hmm, some people are clowning around with a bugle, and revving their unsilenced bike at 1am. Some people won't be very pleased, I'd guess.

Tumtitum, can't think of anything more to write at the moment, so I'll return to reading Stranger In A Strange Land, by Robert A. Heinlein - a very good book.
